ELF: Wroclaw Panthers sign former Sun-Belt conference MVP quarterback Justice Hansen

The Wroclaw Panthers of the European League of Football have signed their new signal-caller, bringing in former division one quarterback Justice Hansen.

The former Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year is thrilled to be taking his career across the pond, and is already showing a team-first attitude:

“I’m looking forward to joining the best organization in Europe, that’s why I chose to be a Panther. What can you guys expect from me? a little bit of everything. Whatever it takes to win, on the ground or through the air”,

The 6’4″ 220-pound quarterback began his collegiate career as a three-star high school recruit entering a powerhouse Oklahoma Sooners (NCAA D1) program. With future first overall NFL draft pick Baker Mayfield and proven starter Trevor Knight on the roster, Hansen spent one season as a redshirt freshman in Norman, before transferring. The following season, Hansen spent the fall playing for Butte Community College, the alma mater of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. After a successful season at the junior college level, the Edmond, Oklahoma native transferred to Arkansas State (NCAA D1).

Upon joining the Redwolves, Hansen immediately took over as the starting quarterback. Over the course of the next three seasons, Hansen amassed 10,133 passing yards to go along with 83 touchdowns and 33 interceptions. On the ground, the dual-threat quarterback put up another 957 yards and 14 touchdowns. Hansen’s play was well recognized as he took home the Sun Belt player of the year award and all-conference honors.

Following his college career, Hansen took part in the rookie minicamp with the NFL’s Los Angeles Chargers. Following his short stint in LA, Hansen was signed by the Canadian Football League’s Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2020, only to have pandemic cancel the season.

With the addition of Hansen, the Wroclaw Panthers have now filled all four of their American import spots, bringing back receiver Kavontae Turpin, along with defensive back Darius Robinson, and linebacker William Lloyd. Polish ELF fans must be excited to see their team gearing up for another run at the title after a close semifinals loss last year.
