Raiders Tirol bring back quarterback Kenyatte Allen Jr. for 2027 EFA season
The Raiders Tirol have secured a key piece of their offense for the 2027 European Football Alliance season, re-signing veteran American quarterback Kenyatte Allen Jr. following an impressive late-season stint that nearly rescued their 2026 campaign.
The 31-year-old signal caller arrived with just three games remaining and immediately transformed an offense that had struggled through seven consecutive losses.
Instant impact in Tirol
Allen wasted little time making his presence felt.
Taking over a team sitting at 0-7, he guided the Raiders to two victories in their final three games, completing an outstanding 66 of 87 passes for 1,009 yards and seven touchdowns.
His remarkable 75.9% completion rate helped turn Tirol from a winless team into a legitimate playoff contender heading into the regular-season finale.
Although a loss to the Paris Musketeers ultimately ended their postseason hopes, Allen’s arrival gave the organization renewed confidence heading into 2027.
Proven winner across Europe
Originally from Lithonia, Georgia, Allen played college football at Arkansas Baptist College before transferring to Robert Morris University in Illinois, where he earned first-team all-conference honors twice.
His professional journey has taken him through several leagues, including stops with the Maine Mammoths, Bismarck Bucks, Ingolstadt Dukes, Leipzig Kings, Stuttgart Surge and Potsdam Royals.
Allen enjoyed a breakout 2022 season with the Allgäu Comets in the German Football League, throwing for 3,342 yards and 43 touchdowns while adding six rushing scores.
He later helped the Potsdam Royals capture a German championship, further establishing his reputation as one of Europe’s most experienced American quarterbacks.
Building toward a playoff return
With Allen returning, the Raiders are assembling a familiar core for another postseason push.
Running back Tim Tonko and linebackers Tim Unger and Jakob Scheucher, the EFA’s 2026 Defensive Rookie of the Year, have also re-signed.
After seeing how dramatically their fortunes changed over the final three games of 2026, Tirol will be hoping a full season with Allen under center can deliver the playoff berth that narrowly escaped them.
