Germany: Straubing Spiders sign versatile DB Chris Lipsey

The Straubing Spiders have announced the signing of veteran defensive back Chris Lipsey as they enter their third season in the German Football League.
The 5’11”, 180 pound 29 year old Lipsey, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, spent the 2023 season with the Dresden Monarchs where he recorded 36 tackles in 12 games, 1 interception and eight pass break ups. He was also a key kick returner for the Monarchs. In 2022, he was a member of the Hamburg Huskies of the GFL2 and in seven games had 36 tackles including a tackle for loss and an interception. Prior to that he played for the Pforzheim Wilddogs, Spandau Bulldogs and the Bremerhaven Seahawks.
The Spiders finished with a record of 3-9 in the GFL in 2023.
