How much will Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson get paid?

By Enwereji Amuruche

With an off season that saw some of the league’s best wide receivers get a payday, it’s exciting to see what the future holds for Minnesota Vikings superb receiver, Justin Jefferson.

In a Thanksgiving Day Classic against the New England Patriots, the third-year receiver finished the game with nine receptions for 139 yards and a touchdown. With 9:44 left on the clock in the first half, Jefferson surpassed Hall of Famer Randy Moss’ record of 4,163 yards for most receiving yards through the first three seasons of an NFL career.

Jefferson has been an integral part of Minnesota’s 9-2 record that has them sitting comfortably at the top of the NFC North.

The question is how much is Jefferson worth?

At this point it’s clear he has the resume to walk into the Vikings front office and request a blank check. Jefferson boasts the Vikings‘ receiving record for a rookie with 1,400 yards, eclipsing Moss’ 1,313 yards in 1998. The standout from LSU has been “Must See TV” this year with sensational plays.

His catch against the Buffalo Bills has been compared to Odell Beckham’s outstanding catch against the Cowboys.

The LSU first round pick is due for his first contract extension, and it is exciting to see what the Vikings will offer their star receiver to keep him happy.
