IFL: Viral Ex-Cleveland Brown Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi Signs With Italy’s Legano Frogs

The Legano Frogs of the Italian Football League have made a splash signing bringing in wide receiver and return man Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi for the upcoming 2024 season.

Sheehy-Guiseppi spent time with the Cleveland Browns of the NFL in 2019, where he returned a punt for a touchdown in the Brown’s pre-season game. However, after the pre-season he was waived by the team. Since then he has spent time in the XFL, CFL, Spring League, The Fan Controlled Football League, and  Major League Football.

The now 28-year-old speedster from Orlando Florida, became a viral sensation back in 2019 as the former track star turned junior college all-American return man snuck into an invite-only tryout with the Cleveland Browns and eventually earned an invite to the team’s training camp after running an impressive 40-yard dash.

Before making it on the Browns pre-season roster, at Phoenix Community College, Sheehy-Guiseppi led all of junior college football in kick return yards. Due to academic issues, however, Sheehy-Guiseppi was unable to move on to NCAA football and was sleeping in his car while looking for his next football opportunity.

Now the alt football veteran looks to make a name in the Italian Football League as he will be one of the biggest names in the league this upcoming season. Sheehy-Guiseppi hopes to help the Legano Frogs make a playoff push after a 3-5 record in 2023
