The Wroclaw Panthers (4-1) return home Saturday looking to complete a season sweep of the Paris Lights (2-2) in American Football League Europe after claiming a 22-14 road victory in the teams’ first meeting back in Week 3.

That earlier matchup saw the Panthers race to a 22-0 halftime lead before the Lights stormed back in the second half. Paris won the final two quarters, but the comeback fell short, leaving the visitors eager to reverse the result in the rematch.

Balanced attack leads the way

The Panthers enter Week 7 riding the best start in franchise history and remain within striking distance of the unbeaten Vienna Vikings atop the standings.

One of Wroclaw’s greatest strengths has been its offensive versatility. Quarterback Jameson Wang has shown he can win games through the air, throwing five touchdown passes on just 13 completions against Berlin. Two weeks later, the offense shifted gears against Firenze, piling up 294 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns while dominating on the ground.

That flexibility makes the Panthers one of the toughest teams in the league to defend. Whether it’s Wang making plays through the air or the running game taking over, Wroclaw has consistently found ways to exploit opposing defenses.

Lights seek faster start

The Lights arrive with confidence after showing steady improvement since the first meeting. Their most recent victory over the Alpine Rams featured contributions from Jens Walter, Valentin Gnahoua and the defense as Paris continued to build momentum.

Quarterback Evan Hillock will once again be a key figure. The Lights need to protect him better than they did in the first meeting while avoiding another slow start that allowed Wroclaw to seize early control.

Coming off the bye week, both teams should be well prepared for the rematch. For the Panthers, the formula remains simple: establish the running game early, give Wang time to operate and maintain the intensity for all four quarters.
