LIVESTREAM NCAA Div. III: Wabash College @ John Carroll University, Oct. 17, 19:00 CET (7 pm, 1 pm ET)

The No. 16 John Carroll Blue Streaks (4–1) host the Wabash Little Giants (4–1) on Saturday, October 17, at Don Shula Stadium in University Heights, Ohio, with both teams looking to rebound from their first losses of the season. Each sits at 3–1 in North Coast Athletic Conference play, making this a pivotal matchup in the NCAA Division III championship race.

Explosive offense meets elite defense

The defending NCAC champion Blue Streaks have been lighting up scoreboards, averaging 38.2 points and 432 yards per game under first-year head coach Brian Polian.

Quarterback Tyler Green has completed 96 of 141 passes for 1,328 yards and 16 touchdowns against just three interceptions. Shane Lindstrom leads the receiving corps with 27 catches for 334 yards and four scores, while Dorian Facen Jr. has added 267 yards and four touchdowns.

However, Wabash presents a serious challenge.

The Little Giants rank third nationally in total defense, surrendering just 191.8 yards per game, and average four sacks per contest. Defensive standouts Camden Singer and Dakota Johnson will be tasked with disrupting Green’s rhythm.

Dickerson faces formidable front seven

Wabash counters with one of Division III’s most productive running backs in Cole Dickerson, who leads the NCAC with 563 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.

That production will be tested against a John Carroll defense allowing just 71.6 rushing yards per game.

Quarterback Brand Campbell has thrown for 685 yards and three touchdowns, while receiver Luke Adams leads the Little Giants with 23 receptions for 281 yards.

Both teams have something to prove

Neither team will be particularly happy with its last outing.

Wabash squandered a 23–10 fourth-quarter lead in a heartbreaking 24–23 defeat to Denison, committing three turnovers.

John Carroll fell 35–25 to Washington University in St. Louis despite outgaining the Bears 344–263. Three turnovers proved equally costly.

Last season, the Blue Streaks survived a furious comeback to edge Wabash 31–28, setting the stage for another potentially dramatic encounter.

With both teams coming off a bye week, the winner will remain firmly in the NCAC title hunt, while the loser faces a difficult road back into contention.
