The Dragons look to upset the Raiders and enter the playoffs with confidence, while the Raiders are eager to finish the regular season and take aim at the Austrian Bowl once again.

The Raiders lost a heart breaker last week to the Schwabisch Hall Unicorns 22-16 in the CEFL championship game. The close loss should fire up this Raiders team who can now focus solely on the Austrian Bowl. Fans can expect quarterback Sean Shelton and this offense to play well against a Dragons defense that has struggled against the league’s top offenses this season.

The defense will aim to step up to the challenge of shutting down a talented group of domestic Dragons playmakers. Defensive back Thomas Kugler and linebacker Alex Ferrari expect to contain Danube’s budding running back Dominik Mattes.

Chad Jeffries quarterbacks this Dragons squad going into their final game of the regular season. The veteran passer has been one of the league’s top passers once again this year throwing for 1,418 yards and 16 touchdowns in seven games this season. Look for Jeffries to target Felix Reisacher and Phillip Haun as this offense can put up points against any team in Austria.

The Dragons defense will need a big game from Florian Albrecht and Bernard Mosor. The veteran defenders are eager to prove themselves against one of Europe’s best teams once again before heading into the playoffs where a possible rematch awaits.

The Raiders will use this game to recalibrate and refocus on the road to the Austrian Bowl. The Swarco squad is eager to get back to their winning ways against a well-coached Danube team.
