Stadion Modling will will be the scene of a battle between the number one team in the Austrian Football League in the 4-0 Vienna Vikings taking a home team that is currently sitting on 1-3 record in the Mödling Rangers. 

These two teams played each other once in 2023 with Vienna coming away with a lopsided 49-6 win.

The Rangers aren’t having a great season so far, residing in the bottom of the table, with Salzburg below them due to the Ducks only playing two games so far, and the Telfs Patriots, who are having a very poor season and who are the team that gave the Rangers their sole win of the season so far, whilst their two losses are both shutouts, 38-0 to Danube and 13-0 to the Graz Giants.

The Rangers sit mid-table when looking at their passing offense and defense, but their running offense and defense is where the problems lie as they have the worst rushing attack in the league and second worse rushing defense. They are going to have to rely on the arm of Shazzon Mumphrey who despite the stats has thrown for the third most yards this season at 562. 

Vienna has been far and away the best team so far in the AFL, undefeated, allowing just 38 points and scoring 187 so far. Their season kicked off with a 83-7 thrashing of the Patriots, then running it close with both Prague in a 28-22 victory and a 14-9 victory of Danube, before smashing the Ducks 62-0. 

Nico Hrodua, the man under center for the Vikings, leads the league in touchdowns with 13 and with three of his receivers in the top five with Andre Fine Maximillion leading the charge with 349 yards and seven touchdowns so far. Leonhard Foidl has three TDs and 234 yards receiving while and Fabian Eder has 206 yards and two scores. With stats like these it’s easy to see why the Vikings are the best passing offense in the league.

Expect another strong performance from the Vikings. They have the top rated offense having scored 187 points in four games while Mödling have managed just 37 points. This could be a very long afternoon for the home team.
