LIVESTREAM EFA: Nordic Storm @ Paris Musketeers, July 18, 15:00 CET (3 pm, 9 am ET)

The Paris Musketeers (3-4) return home looking to halt a three-game losing streak as they welcome the Nordic Storm (6-1) in one of the marquee matchups of Week 9 in the European Football Alliance. While the Storm continue to chase the unbeaten Munich Ravens atop the standings, the Musketeers are fighting to strengthen their playoff position heading into next week’s league-wide bye.

Paris looking to bounce back

The Musketeers are coming off one of the most heartbreaking losses of the season after falling 36-35 in overtime to the Prague Lions. Despite piling up 528 yards of total offense, three lost fumbles proved costly as Paris let a late lead slip away.

Quarterback Zach Edwards sparked the offense with an 81-yard touchdown pass to Hugo Tekedam and added a rushing touchdown of his own. He later found Cheikhou Sow for a touchdown before Nicolas Khandar gave the Musketeers the lead in overtime. Unfortunately for Paris, the Lions answered with a touchdown and successful two-point conversion to escape with the victory.

Storm continue to roll

The Storm responded to their first loss of the season in impressive fashion, dominating the Raiders Tirol 40-14 on the road. Jadrian Clark once again directed an efficient offense, throwing two touchdown passes to Roberto Miranda in the first half before connecting twice with Edvin Almeida after halftime to put the game away.

The running game was equally effective as Glen Toonga opened the scoring with a touchdown run, while the defense delivered one of the game’s biggest plays when Macéo Beard Aigret returned an interception for a touchdown.

Brendan Beaulieu also made league history by becoming the first player in EFA history to surpass 1,000 receiving yards in a single season.

Big plays could decide it

Both offenses have shown they can score quickly, making ball security and timely defensive stops critical. Paris moved the football consistently last week but paid the price for turnovers, while the Storm have excelled at capitalizing on opponents’ mistakes throughout the season.

The matchup between Edwards and Clark also features two quarterbacks capable of changing a game with a single drive.

Playoff implications

With the regular season entering its final stretch, every result carries extra weight. The Storm are looking to keep pace with the league-leading Munich Ravens, while the Musketeers need a victory to strengthen their postseason hopes after consecutive defeats.

Expect another entertaining contest between two talented teams with plenty on the line as the inaugural EFA season continues to build toward the playoffs.
