The Thonon Black Panthers. (2-0) will travel to the Paris suburbs today to take on the Asnieres Molosses (1-1). The Black Panthers look to keep rolling after last year’s runner-ups have had a strong start through two weeks. Across the field, the Asnieres Molosses hope to get above 500 after two close games tipping either way to start the year.

The Black Panthers, 2022 runners-up in France, have opened the year with a pair of lopsided wins, beating the Saint-Ouen Cougars 38-14 and then rolling over the Amiens Spartiates 49-7. As the score shows, the Black Panthers dominated last week as quarterback José Tabora Jr threw for over 300 yards and four touchdowns. Tabora Jr will look to find talented receivers, Jack Pilkerton and Felix Durand.

On defense, Thonon boasts of impact players like Timon Debeiz, Valentin Roesch, and Adel Badile in what seems to be one of the better units in the country.

For Molosses, the early season has been up and down as Asnieres lost to the La Courneuve Flash 26-14 and then beat the Spartiates 44-33. French quarterback Adrein Roux stepped in for an injured Robbie Patterson last week and played well. The Paris native pocket passer threw for three touchdowns and 273 yards as they cruised to a victory. Molosses, might roll with Roux again this week if Patterson is still unable to go.

Mexican national team wide receiver Said Salazar Déciga along with home grown talent Bryan La Biscotte are also two impact players to watch on the home side in this one.
