The Ravensburg Razorbacks (2-1) welcome the unbeaten Potsdam Royals (3-0) to TeleData Stadium on Saturday in what may be the most intriguing interconference matchup of the young German Football League season.
This game brings together the 2025 champions of the North and South divisions, with both teams carrying legitimate championship aspirations into June. For Potsdam, it marks the start of a demanding stretch against playoff-caliber opponents. For Ravensburg, it is an opportunity to bounce back after last week’s loss and prove they belong among the league’s elite.
Champions collide
The Royals arrive in Ravensburg riding plenty of momentum. After opening the season with a hard-fought 15-14 victory over the Berlin Rebels, they followed it with dominant wins over the New Yorker Lions and the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes. Through three games, Potsdam has scored 138 points while allowing just 20.
Meanwhile, the Razorbacks have shown they remain one of the strongest teams in the South despite a 28-10 defeat to the Pforzheim Wilddogs. They had averaged 40 points per game through their first three contests and now return home looking to respond in front of what should be a loud crowd in Weingarten.

Different paths to success
Both offenses have been productive, but they get there in different ways.
For Potsdam, quarterback Xeaiver Bullock directs a balanced attack that can hurt opponents through the air or on the ground. Receivers Peter Martin, Maximilian McLeod, Milan Spiller, Kassim Tiamiu and Emanuel Bakare give the offense plenty of options, while Heiko Bals and Chrisman Kyei help power a dangerous running game.
The Razorbacks have leaned more heavily on quarterback Broghean McGovern and their passing attack. That approach has produced plenty of points so far, making this one of the most intriguing offensive matchups of the season.
Defense could decide it
While both offenses can light up the scoreboard, the biggest edge on paper may belong to Potsdam’s defense.
Players such as Joshua Wünsch, Ronaldo Tomasello, Ryan Minniti, Hunter Hewitt, Giorgius Tarlas and Max Menache have helped build one of the stingiest defenses in the league. The unit has not allowed a touchdown since the opening game against Berlin.
For Ravensburg, slowing down that aggressive defense while protecting home field will be critical.
Playoff atmosphere in June
