LIVESTREAM IFAF U19 EC Bronze Medal Game: Team Denmark @ Team Finland, Sept. 16, 13:00 CET (1 pm, 7 am EDT)

Team Finland and Denmark square off Saturday, Sept. 16 in the IFAF Europe U19 Championships Bronze Medal game at the Myyrmäki Stadium in Vantaa, Finland.

This will be Denmark’s second straight attempt at winning bronze as they also finished third at last year’s championships when they defeated France. Led by head coach Victor E. Andersen, Denmark looks to finish off their IFAF journey with a victory after falling to Sweden 31-17 in the Group A semi-final.

On the other side, Finland is also coming off a of a tough loss of their own after losing to Austria 45-12. Head coach Pekka Lamminsalo calls a run heavy offense led by quarterback Jerry Silomaa and Alexsi Hirvonen.

The game will be a battle of two contrasting play styles. Denmark wins their games through the air, offensively and defensively. From the approach of Finland, they win their games in the trenches. The Finns have size up front that helps push their offense slowly down the field on the ground.

This Saturday could be a low scoring affair as both teams sometimes struggle on offense. So look for a defensive battle for the honor of third place in this year’s IFAF Europe U19 Championships.
