LIVESTREAM NCAA Div. II: Bloomsburg Huskies @ Kutztown Golden Bears, Nov. 7, 18:00 CET (6 pm, 12 noon ET)

The Kutztown University Golden Bears (8–1, 4–1 PSAC East) will be looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season when they host the Bloomsburg University Huskies (7–2, 4–1 PSAC East) at Andre Reed Stadium in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, in a pivotal NCAA Division II showdown.

Both teams enter tied in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division standings, making this regular-season finale a potentially decisive battle for postseason positioning.

And after both teams went to overtime last weekend, another nail-biter wouldn’t be surprising.

Kutztown looking to rebound

The nationally ranked Golden Bears had been virtually unstoppable until last Saturday, when East Stroudsburg handed them a stunning 32–25 overtime defeat, snapping an eight-game winning streak.

Before that setback, Kutztown had outscored its opponents 365–115 and established itself as one of the nation’s most explosive offensive teams.

Quarterback Judd Novak has thrown for 1,909 yards and 20 touchdowns against just four interceptions, while running backs Jaedyn Stewart and Craig Miller have combined for 1,105 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns.

But receiver Noah Kracyla could be the biggest headache for Bloomsburg.

Kracyla caught 12 passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns against East Stroudsburg, demonstrating the kind of big-play ability that can turn a game around in a hurry.

The Golden Bears average 43.3 points per game, ranking seventh nationally, and lead Division II with a remarkable 60.6 percent third-down conversion rate.

Bloomsburg brings momentum and defense

The Huskies arrive riding a three-game winning streak following a gritty 22–15 overtime victory over West Chester.

Defense has been the foundation of their success.

Bloomsburg ranks eighth nationally against the run, allowing just 86.3 yards per game, and 17th in total defense at 277.4 yards per contest.

Linebacker Garrett Garcia recorded 16 tackles against West Chester, while Nahzier Booker and Ian Donohue have been disruptive forces up front.

The Huskies have registered 19 sacks and 10 interceptions, giving them the ability to create problems for even the most productive offenses.

They are also unbeaten on the road this season at 4–0.

Clancy faces a daunting challenge

Offensively, Bloomsburg relies heavily on running back Declan Clancy, who has rushed for 805 yards and eight touchdowns.

Quarterback Zayd Etheridge has added 1,236 passing yards and seven touchdowns, with Justin Wolfe providing a dangerous receiving threat.

But moving the football against Kutztown won’t be easy.

The Golden Bears rank third nationally in rushing defense, surrendering just 72.2 yards per game, and allow only 16.3 points per contest.

That sets up a fascinating battle between two of the country’s stingiest defensive fronts.

Rivalry history and postseason implications

Although Bloomsburg leads the all-time series 48–30–1, Kutztown has dominated recently, winning nine consecutive meetings dating back to 2016.

The Golden Bears won last year’s encounter 35–27 and have not lost to the Huskies since 2015.

But with both teams tied atop the PSAC East standings, historical records won’t mean much once the ball is kicked off.

Kutztown has the explosive offense and home-field advantage. Bloomsburg brings an outstanding defense, an unbeaten road record and plenty of confidence.

Something has to give in what promises to be one of the weekend’s most compelling NCAA Division II matchups.
