As Munich is set to host its first-ever NFL regular season game tomorrow, football fans from all over flocking to the Bavarian capital city might be looking for some gridiron action today.

Lucky for them, the NFL Academy of the UK will take on the Bavarian Warriors, a team made up of teenage all-star players from the Bavarian region of Germany, are set to face off at Dante Stadium in the heart of Munich, as a lead-up event to the historic International Series game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks

The NFL Academy, the UK’s premiere youth program recently hosted powerhouse IMG Academy of Bradenton Florida, losing a competitive game. They also have wins over RIG Academy in Sweden, the Dusseldorf Panther of Germany, and the Scottish U19 team.

The UK’s premiere youth football program features several players with D1 scholarship offers including 4-star offensive lineman Daniel Akinkunmi, recent Jackson State commit Kofi Taylor Barrocks, and Temple commit Peter Clarke. Defensively, look for linebacker Isaak Ubaka and Jadiel Wahab to be swarming to the ball.

At quarterback, Sam Fenton should take the majority of the snaps behind center. The 6’6″ pocket passer has shown off a big arm before and will look to command the NFL Academy offense against a formidable IMG defense.

The Bavarian Warriors should have good fan support in Munich as the team typically features players from the nearby established clubs such as the Munich Cowboys, Munich Rangers, Allgäu Comets, Ingolstadt Dukes, and Straubing Spiders.

This international friendly is a fantastic addition to the football frenzied weekend in Munich. The matchup on the field will be a great teaser to the first-ever regular season NFL game on German soil, featuring the Tom Brady & the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking on Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks.
