Three seasons without a loss will be put to the test when the top-seeded Warsaw Eagles host the fifth-seeded Bialystok Lowlanders in Ząbki for a Polish Football League semifinal with a trip to the XXI Polish Bowl at stake.
The two teams met twice during the regular season, with the Eagles earning a 24-7 victory in Bialystok before completing the season sweep with a 35-18 win at home. Despite those results, the second meeting was far more competitive than the final score indicated, as the Lowlanders held a three-point lead at halftime.
Champions keep rolling
The Eagles continued their dominant season in the quarterfinals, dispatching the Krakow Kings 41-0 with another efficient all-around performance.
Quarterback Vidal Woodruff once again led the offense with the poise and production that has made him one of the league’s top playmakers. Combined with a balanced attack and a defense that has consistently delivered in key moments, Warsaw enters the semifinals as the team to beat.
With three straight seasons without a domestic loss, the Eagles have set the standard in the Polish Football League.

Lowlanders gaining confidence
The Lowlanders earned their place in the semifinals by defeating the Kąty Wrocławskie Jaguars 41-14 on the road, reaching the final four for the 12th consecutive season.
Quarterback Brett Pullman continues to grow into the offense, while Bernardo Horevitch has become one of the league’s top receiving threats. Defensively, Ethan Binns, Damian Wesołowski and the front seven have consistently generated pressure throughout the season.
Head coach Tomasz Żukowski believes his team is ready for another shot at the defending champions.
“We have a match ahead of us, which we have been working for since the beginning of the season. The Eagles have been unbeaten for three years and fully deserve to be called favourites, but the semi-finals have their own rules.”
One step from the Polish Bowl
The Lowlanders arrive with a healthier and deeper roster than they had during the regular-season meetings, hoping that will help close the gap against the league’s top seed.
The Eagles, meanwhile, will look to continue their remarkable run and take another step toward defending their Polish championship.
