The Mallorca Voltors (1-0) travel to Valencia, Spain Sunday, February 3 to face the Valencia Firebats (0-1) in a game that already has taken on importance for both teams.
The Firebats, winners of the Spanish title in 2015, suffered a lopsided defeat two weeks ago in the opening round of the Spanish American Football League against the Badalona Dracs. Meanwhile, the Voltors eked out a victory over the newly promoted Zaragoza Hurricanes.
These two teams faced each other twice in 2018, splitting the series. The Firebats blanked Mallorca in the first encounter 18-0 while the Voltors defeated Valencia in Valencia the second time around, 27-20.
Both teams reached the quarterfinals in 2018.
