LIVESTREAM: Spain – Mallorca Voltors @Zaragoza Hurricanes, Sunday, March 3, 12p CEST (6a EST)

The 2-2 Mallorca Voltors will face the 1-3 Zaragoza Hurricanes in a crucial matchup in the Spanish League of American Football fifth round of play Sunday, March 3 in Zaragoza.

The Voltors won the first game between these two teams earlier in the year, 14-7.

Mallorca lost two in a row after that dropping a 14-13 decision to the Valencia Firebats and then getting whipped 48-7 by the Badalona Dracs. Last weekend, the Voltors rebounded in blanking the Fuengirola Potros 41-0. In that game, Voltors quarterback Craig Coffman threw six touchdown passes with receivers Carlos Vega (3 TDs), Miguel Salva March (2) and Marcos Javier Molina (1) the recipients of his scoring strikes.

After losing three straight games to Mallorca, the Badalona Dracs, 54-0 and Valencia Firebats 27-0, the Hurricanes, celebrated their historic first ever win in the top division with an exciting 12-9 victory over the visiting Gijón Mariners last week. But it took until the very end of the game as Mexican import Alcides Benítez hauled in the winning touchdown pass with 10 seconds left on the clock. Benitez also scored the opening touchdown for Zaragoza. Mariners quarterback Marcos Martinez had scored his team’s only touchdown with four minutes left in the game to take the lead at the time.
