The league-leading and defending champion Koc Rams (3-0) will take on long-time rivals, the Bogazici Sultans (3-0) Saturday, May 18 in a clash to decide first place in the Turkish League of American Football.

These two teams, the only two remaining unbeaten teams in Turkey, met in the Turkish championship game in 2018 with the Rams winning 52-21.

The Sultans and Rams have played each other in four of the last five national championships with Bogazici winning two of them (2014, 2015) and the Rams two (2016, 2018). The Rams also won the 2017 title in Turkey, beating the Sakarya Tatankalari.

So far, the Rams boast the best offense in Turkey having scored 81 points in three games with wins over ITÜ Hornets, 28-3, Sakarya Tatankalari, 20-12 and ODTÜ Falcons, 33-23. Bogazici were 15-17 winners over the Tatankalari 15-13, beat the Falcons 10-7 and shut out the Anadolu Rangers, 35-0.

This could well be a preview of the 2019 championship game.
