In a nail-biter, the Lublin Tytani (1-3) secured their first win of the Polish Football League season beating the Poznań Armia (0-3) 22-21, showcasing a dramatic comeback.
Armia strikes first
The Armia grabbed an early lead, thanks to a rushing touchdown from Kamil Woźnicki and a successful PAT by Maciej Żmudziński. The first half ended with the Tytani struggling to find their rhythm, trailing 7-0.
Tytani rally in the second half
The Tytani finally found their footing in the third quarter when quarterback Dennis Batistella punched the ball in for a touchdown, leveling the score at 7-7 with a PAT from Hubert Tażbirek. The fourth quarter saw a flurry of action, with Batistella scoring again to put the Tytani ahead 14-7.
Dramatic finish
The Armia responded with two touchdown passes from Jacek Zakrzewski to Radosław Balcerowiak, briefly taking a 21-14 lead. However, Batistella connected with Tażbirek for another touchdown, and a bold two-point conversion to Bartosz Piskorski clinched the victory for the Tytani.
The win lifts the Tytani out of the cellar while the Armia remain in search of their first points this season.
