Mexico: Chihuahua chosen to host Tazón México VI
This week, the Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional announced that the upcoming Tazón México VI will be held at Estadio Olímpico Universitario in Chihuahua, the home stadium of the Caudillos de Chihuahua.
This will be the second straight year that the Tazón México will be played in a location other than Mexico City. Last year, Tazón México V was held in Tijuana, home of the Galgos.
The option to play the game in Chihuahua was made possible after the LFA’s rival league, Fútbol Americano de México, FAM folded. With FAM’s closure, three teams ultimately joined the LFA: the Reds CDMX, Jefes de Ciudad Juárez and the Caudillos de Chihuahua.
