Munich Ravens cruise past Prague Lions to stay unbeaten in EFA

The Munich Ravens (8-0) continued their perfect European Football Alliance campaign with a convincing 48-12 road victory over the Prague Lions (2-6), strengthening their grip on first place while officially locking up the top seed for the inaugural BIG4 Playoff Weekend. The win keeps the Ravens unbeaten through eight games and sets up a highly anticipated showdown with the Nordic Storm later this season to determine the regular-season champion.

Ravens remain in control

The Ravens once again showed why they have been the league’s most consistent team throughout the inaugural EFA season.

Playing on the road in Prague, Munich controlled the game from the opening kickoff and steadily pulled away as the afternoon progressed. The offense continued to produce big plays while the defense prevented the Lions from building any sustained momentum, allowing the visitors to improve to 8-0 with another comfortable victory.

The 48-12 result also handed the Prague Lions their sixth defeat of the season, although they remain mathematically alive in the race for one of the final BIG4 playoff spots.

Playmakers deliver again

The victory completed another impressive weekend for the league’s top two teams.

While the Nordic Storm rolled past the Paris Musketeers behind Jadrian Clark’s five touchdown passes and Brendan Beaulieu’s 231-yard, three-touchdown performance, the Ravens answered with another dominant display of their own to remain the only unbeaten team in the league.

With the victory, Munich officially secured the No. 1 seed for the BIG4 Playoff Weekend in Frankfurt, guaranteeing that the club will play its semifinal on Saturday. Nordic has already clinched the No. 2 seed and will play on Sunday.

Race tightens behind leaders

Although the top two positions have now been settled, the battle for the remaining playoff places is far from over.

The biggest surprise of the weekend came when the Raiders Tirol earned their first victory of the season with a stunning 61-41 win over the Frankfurt Galaxy. Despite the loss, Frankfurt remains third at 3-5 thanks to the head-to-head tiebreaker over the equally ranked Paris Musketeers, who also fell to 3-5 after losing to Nordic.

Everything to play for

The victory keeps the Munich Ravens firmly on course for an undefeated regular season, but their toughest remaining test still awaits against the Nordic Storm in Copenhagen.

Meanwhile, the Prague Lions, now 2-6, remain just one win behind the final playoff positions with two regular-season games remaining. Along with the Raiders Tirol, they still have a mathematical path to the BIG4 Weekend, setting up a dramatic finish to the inaugural European Football Alliance regular season.
