Nordic Storm rout Paris Musketeers to clinch EFA BIG4 playoff berth

The Nordic Storm (7-1) strengthened their championship credentials with a dominant 41-3 road victory over the Paris Musketeers (3-5) on Sunday, officially clinching a place in the European Football Alliance BIG4 Playoff Weekend in Frankfurt. Behind another outstanding performance from quarterback Jadrian Clark and wide receiver Brendan Beaulieu, the Storm controlled the game from the opening drive and never allowed Paris back into the contest.

Fast start sets the tone

The Storm wasted little time taking command.

Clark guided a 67-yard opening drive before finding Beaulieu for the first touchdown of the afternoon. Later in the opening quarter, Clark connected with running back Glen Toonga for another score, giving Nordic a 14-0 lead.

The momentum continued through the second quarter as the Paris Musketeers struggled to generate any offensive rhythm against the Storm defense. Clark remained in complete control of the offense, capping another impressive drive with a touchdown pass to Jakob Green that extended the lead to 21-0 at halftime.

Beaulieu steals the show

Any hopes of a Paris comeback disappeared almost immediately after halftime.

Less than a minute into the third quarter, Beaulieu broke free for a 68-yard touchdown reception to make it 27-0. A few minutes later, he was back in the end zone, hauling in his third touchdown catch of the afternoon as the Storm stretched the lead to 35-0.

Beaulieu turned in another historic performance, finishing with 13 receptions for 231 yards and three touchdowns. After becoming the first player in EFA history to surpass 1,000 receiving yards in a season the previous week, he added another remarkable chapter to his outstanding campaign.

Clark was equally impressive, completing 26 of 33 passes for 384 yards and five touchdowns while distributing the ball efficiently throughout the game.

Defense finishes the job

While the offense piled up points, the Storm defense delivered one of its most complete performances of the season.

The Paris Musketeers were limited to just 174 total yards and converted only one of 12 third-down opportunities. Zach Edwards faced relentless pressure throughout the afternoon as Nordic’s pass rush produced eight sacks and consistently disrupted the passing game.

Paris finally avoided the shutout in the fourth quarter on Dean Faithfull’s 56-yard field goal, but the response was immediate. Simon Fons returned the ensuing kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown to complete the emphatic 41-3 victory.

Playoff spot secured

The victory improves the Nordic Storm to 7-1 and officially secures their place at the EFA BIG4 Playoff Weekend in Frankfurt.

With only the unbeaten Munich Ravens ahead of them in the standings, the Storm remain firmly in contention for a top playoff seed. Meanwhile, the Paris Musketeers have now dropped four straight games, leaving their postseason hopes hanging in the balance with two regular-season games remaining.
