Steelers rookie Max Iheanachor has $150,000 in valuables stolen in home burglary
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie offensive tackle Max Iheanachor had more than $150,000 worth of jewelry and designer bags stolen when his home was burglarized while the first-round draft pick was away with the team for its preseason finale against the Buffalo Bills.
The burglary reportedly occurred Aug. 26, one day before the Steelers played in Buffalo.
Investigation remains ongoing
According to reports, thieves took jewelry and designer bags valued at more than $150,000 from Iheanachor’s home. The investigation into the burglary remains ongoing.
The incident adds Iheanachor to a growing list of NFL players whose homes have been targeted while they were away with their teams. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s home was burglarized in December 2024 while the Bengals were in Dallas for a Monday night game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Rookie preparing for opener
The Steelers selected Iheanachor out of Arizona State with the 21st overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
His first NFL training camp has already been interrupted by an undisclosed injury that kept him out for a significant stretch. Iheanachor is currently listed as the backup right tackle as Pittsburgh prepares to open the regular season Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
The burglary now gives the rookie another unwanted distraction just days before the Steelers begin their 2026 season.
