ELF: Prague Lions sign British TE Eden Thiede-Palmer

The Prague Lions have announced they have signed their final EU player with the addition of British tight end Eden Thiede-Palmer ahead of the 2023 European League of Football season.

The 6’6″, 254 pound, 22-year-old Thiede-Palmer, a native of London, England, spent the 2021-2022 season with the Durham University Saints in England earning Offensive Player of the Year honors after catching 51 passes for 676 yards and four touchdowns during the regular season. He had rejoined the Saints after a season with the London Blitz in Great Britain’s Premiership during which time he was named to the Great Britain national team. He had originally started playing football for Durham while studying for his Physics Degree.

He attended the Milano Seamen Combine in Italy and posted the following impressive results:

225lbs Bench: 19 reps
40 Yard Dash: 4.75s
3-Cone: 7.59s
20 Yard Shuttle: 4.28s
Broad Jump: 8’11”
Vertical Jump: 22.23”

Prague Lions head coach Zach Harrod:

“After lots of work, including speaking with several coaches from the UK, we are excited to sign Eden. The consensus was that he catches everything, blocks like a tackle and is hungry to prove himself. This is exactly what we want to add to our team! On top of this his humility and character are evident.”
