Wroclaw Panthers overpower Red Lions to win fourth straight in AFLE

The Wroclaw Panthers (4-1) continued their climb up the American Football League Europe standings Sunday, rolling to a 48-7 victory over the Firenze Red Lions (0-4) in sweltering 98-degree (37°C) heat in Florence. A dominant first-half performance allowed the Panthers to build a 41-point lead before comfortably closing out their fourth consecutive win.

Panthers take command early

The game was effectively over by halftime.

The Panthers controlled the line of scrimmage from the opening kickoff and found the end zone on nearly every meaningful possession. By the end of the first half, Wroclaw had piled up 41 points, leaving little doubt about the outcome.

With the game well in hand, the coaching staff was able to rotate backup players into the lineup throughout the second half while maintaining complete control.

Wang and Wosch lead balanced attack

Quarterback Jameson Wang efficiently directed the offense during his time on the field, completing 12 of 15 passes as the Panthers consistently moved the chains.

The running game was equally effective behind Bartosz Wosch, who rushed for more than 100 yards while benefiting from strong blocking up front. The balanced offensive approach kept the Red Lions defense on its heels throughout the afternoon and showcased the depth that has made Wroclaw one of the league’s hottest teams.

Firenze searches for answers

The Red Lions struggled to generate sustained offense against an aggressive Panthers defense.

Quarterback Matthew McKay completed six of 21 passes, while Brandon Belgrave provided the biggest bright spot on the ground with 78 rushing yards on 10 carries. Despite those efforts, Firenze was unable to match Wroclaw’s efficiency on either side of the ball.

The victory improved the Panthers to 4-1 and further strengthened their position among the top contenders in the American Football League Europe. With four straight wins, Wroclaw enters the second half of the season carrying plenty of momentum and confidence.

For the Red Lions, the search for a first victory continues. Although the record dropped to 0-4, the club will look to regroup and continue building as it gains valuable experience during its inaugural AFLE campaign.
