Raiders Tirol stun Frankfurt Galaxy for first European Football Alliance win

The Raiders Tirol (1-7) earned their first win of the European Football Alliance season in spectacular fashion on Sunday, upsetting the Frankfurt Galaxy (3-5) 61-41 behind a dominant offensive performance. Making his debut for the Raiders, quarterback Kenyatte Allen sparked an attack that produced 603 total yards and six rushing touchdowns to hand Frankfurt a costly defeat.

Allen makes immediate impact

Allen wasted little time making an impression in his first game for the Raiders.

After the Galaxy briefly grabbed a 7-6 lead on Ethan Garbers’ 34-yard touchdown pass to Brevin Easton, Allen answered with a one-yard touchdown run before throwing scoring passes to Aaron Jackson and Toni Rabensteiner. Jackson’s 78-yard touchdown reception highlighted a huge first half as the Raiders built a commanding 40-21 halftime lead.

Allen finished an outstanding debut by completing 30 of 31 passes for 408 yards and three touchdowns while adding a rushing score.

Jackson was his favorite target, hauling in nine receptions for 159 yards and two touchdowns, while Rabensteiner added four catches for 81 yards and a score.

Ground game takes over

While Allen dominated through the air, the Raiders were just as effective on the ground.

Tobias Bonatti rushed for 115 yards on only seven carries and scored twice, including a 60-yard touchdown run late in the first half. Tim Tonko added 42 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Lukas Haslwanter contributed 34 yards and another score.

As a team, the Raiders rushed for 195 yards and six touchdowns, consistently controlling the tempo and keeping Frankfurt’s defense on the field.

Galaxy fight back

Garbers kept the Galaxy within striking distance for much of the afternoon, completing 19 of 27 passes for 345 yards and four touchdowns despite throwing two interceptions.

Brevin Easton caught seven passes for 121 yards and a touchdown, while Adria Botella Moreno finished with five receptions for 117 yards and two scores. Backup quarterback Conrad Schumann added 57 passing yards and two touchdowns in the closing stages, with Paul Kavadia-Lenhardt, Normen Schumm and Gerald Ameln all finding the end zone.

Despite piling up 402 passing yards and six touchdown passes, the Galaxy couldn’t overcome the explosive Raiders offense.

Breakthrough victory

The victory gives the Raiders Tirol their first win of the inaugural European Football Alliance season and provides a huge boost entering the final weeks of the regular season.

Behind Allen’s remarkable debut, a powerful rushing attack and an offense that scored 61 points, the Raiders delivered their most complete performance of the year while dealing the Frankfurt Galaxy a damaging setback in the race for a playoff berth.
