In a thrilling showdown in Serbian Bowl XVIII, the Kragujevac Wild Boars put on a dominating performance in downing the Vukovi Beograd 48-7 to secure their 10th Serbian title.

The Wild Boars became the first team in Serbia to achieve such a feat, surpassing Vukovi who have nine championship trophies in their collection.

The Wild Boars wasted no time asserting their dominance, taking an early lead in the first drive of the game as quarterback Isaiah Green marched his team down to the Vukovi 12 yard line and then connected with Ashton Heard in the end zone to for the game’s first touchdown. Kragujevac’s defense immediately made their presence felt, putting immense pressure on Vukovi quarterback, Joshua Cartwright. Veteran Vladimir Radenović delivered a crushing sack in the end zone, resulting in a safety and pushing the Wild Boars’ lead to 9-0. This set the tone for the rest of the game, with Belgrade struggling to cope with the relentless pressure from the Wild Boars’ defensive line.

In the second quarter, they extended their lead with a remarkable 65-yard touchdown pass from Green to the Most Valuable Player of the league, Strahinja Stepović, making it 16-0. Although a penalty nullified the next touchdown, Green quickly redeemed himself with a pass to the talented Danijel Zunđa on the subsequent play, further widening the gap to 22-0.

As the first half drew to a close, Dimitrije Novaković intercepted a pass from Cartwright in the end zone and returned it into Belgrade territory. Green capitalized on this opportunity, connecting with Stepović for another touchdown, leaving the score at an imposing 28-0 at halftime.

The Vukovi managed to salvage some pride at the start of the second half when Cartwright found Jovan Davidović for a touchdown, capitalizing on the Wild Boars’ only mistake of the game to narrow the lead to 28-7. However, Kragujevac quickly regained their composure and reestablished their dominance. Green capped Kragujevac’s next drive with a 24-yard run for a touchdown, and Heard followed that up with a touchdown run of his own, this time from six yards out, to extend the lead to 41-7.

At this point, the game was all but decided, but the Wild Boars were not finished. In the final quarter, Green delivered his fifth touchdown pass of the game, this time to Milan Novaković, sealing their victory with a resounding final score of 48-7.
