Spain: Las Rozas Black Demons sign Florida State TE Mavin Saunders

The Las Rozas Black Demons have truly bolstered their offense as the Spanish League of American Football continues their 2021 season, with the signing of Florida State and University of Kansas tight end/wide receiver Mavin Saunders.

The former Florida State Seminole and Kansas Jayhawk (NCAA Div. I FBS) at 6’5″, 256 pounds, from Bimini, Bahamas, played in nine games for Kansas (2018) and 31 games for Florida State (2014-2017). At Kansas in 2018, he was named to the  Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll (spring). He was named to the prestigious 2017 All-State AFCA Good Works Team while at Florida State. 

Coming out of The Kinkaid School, a high school in Houston, Texas, he was rated a four-star prospect in the 2014 class by 247Sports, ESPN and Scout, and a three-star recruit by Rivals. Saunders was ranked the No. 3 tight end in the country and No. 23 player in Texas.
