Spain reaches midpoint of 2023 season

The Spanish National League of American Football reaches the midpoint of the 2023 season with the final two games in round four as the Alcobendas Cavaliers and Mallorca Voltors are the host teams.

The Cavaliers will play host to the Gijon Mariners on Saturday, February 18 while Mallorca will welcome the Badalona Dracs to their island on Sunday, February 19 in a battle of unbeatens.

Saturday, February 18

Gijon Mariners (0-3) @ Alcobendas Cavaliers (0-3)

In a game between the only two winless teams in the LNFA, the Mariners and Cavaliers will tangle on Saturday.  After dropping a tough 28-14 decision to the Coslada Camioneros in their opening game, Alcodendas suffered a pair of lopsided losses to Osos Rivas (38-0) and Las Rozas Black Demons (48-0). Meanwhile, Gijon were beaten 16-3 by Osos and 56-14 by the Black Demons while losing 21-14 to the Camioneros.

Sunday, February 19

Badalona Dracs (3-0) @ Mallorca Voltors (3-0)

The only two undefeated teams in the South conference will clash Sunday as Mallorca will try to get their first win ever against the Dracs and keep their winning streak alive. Badalona on the other hand, is looking to return to the championship final after reaching the title game every year since 2013 before being bounced in the semifinals in 2022.
