Spain: Terrassa Reds stun previously unbeaten Badalona Dracs in Eastern Conference upset
The Terrassa Reds (2-0) delivered the first loss of the season to the previously dominant Badalona Dracs (2-1) with a commanding 21-13 victory that showcased their defensive prowess and offensive efficiency in a statement LNFA Eastern Conference win.
Defense sets the tone
The Reds established control early with a suffocating defensive performance that completely shut down the high-powered Badalona offense in the first half. While their defense created opportunities, the offense capitalized with two first-half touchdowns from Charlemagne Take and Alpha Jalloh, building a 14-0 halftime lead that forced the Dracs to play from behind for the first time this season.
Surviving the comeback attempt
Badalona finally found the end zone in the second half with David Granell cutting the deficit to 14-7, but the Reds immediately responded with running back D’Angelo Durham restoring their three-score advantage. Though Eric Gracia scored late for the Dracs to make it 21-13, the Reds’ defense held firm in the final minutes to secure the upset victory and announce themselves as legitimate contenders in the Eastern Conference.
