Swedish stats leaders at season’s midpoint no surprise

As the Swedish season heads towards the midpoint, the two top quarterbacks in the league remain unchanged from 2017 as Philip Juhlin of the Carlstad Crusaders and Anders Hermodsson from the Stockholm Mean Machines are again one and two. However, Stockholm players lead the rushing and receiving stats.

Passing

Carlstad Crusaders QB Philip Juhlin leads the Swedish American Football league in passing yardage, as he did in 2017, with 960 yards and 10 TDs.  Anders Hermodsson of the Stockholm Mean Machines is 2nd with his 924 yards. Örebro Black Knights quarterback Raleigh Yeldell III  missed one game and is 3rd with 540 yards and 4 TDs. John Rock of the Uppsala 86ers is the 4th best passer with 412 yards while RB/QB Gerard Johnson of the Goteborg Marvels in 5th with 318 yards.

Receiving

Stockholm Mean Machines WR Matthew Retzlaff has pulled out in front of all other receivers in Sweden with his 518 yards and 6 TDs. Retzlaff has had a couple of outstanding games including 246 yards against Uppsala. Behind him in 2nd with 336 yards is Johannes Lindeus from the Örebro Black Knights. Robin Juhlin of the Carlstad Crusaders is 3rd with 316 yards while Black Knights WR Tomas Jacobssen is 4th with 236 yards. Finally, last year’s top WR, Jacob Dahre is 5th with 233 yards and 4 TDs.

Stockholm Mean Machines RB Emil Knutsson is having an excellent year and leads all rushers in Sweden with 383 yards in 4 games. Johnny Grandin of the  Örebro Black Knights jumped up into 2nd with 339 yards after a monster game against the Goteborg Marvels when he rushed for 249 yards and 3 TDs. Carlstad Crusaders RB Victor Toresson is 3rd with 198 yards while his QB Philip Juhlin is 4th with 177. Marvels Alpha Jalloh is 5th with 172.
