UFL: Michigan Panthers punter Seth Vernon signs with Miami Dolphins

Former Michigan Panthers punter Seth Vernon has earned an NFL opportunity, signing with the Miami Dolphins as the 63rd member of the 2025 UFL signing class to transition to the league. Vernon went unselected in the recent UFL draft but impressed enough during his spring season to secure a professional lifeline.

Strong UFL performance
During his lone season with the Panthers, Vernon punted 23 times for a 45.4-yard average with eight punts landing inside the 20-yard line. His consistent performance caught Miami’s attention as they look to solidify their special teams unit ahead of offseason activities.

Proven track record
Vernon brings previous NFL experience from stints with the Atlanta FalconsMinnesota Vikings, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a collegiate career at Portland State where he averaged 44.6 yards per punt. He joins former Houston Gamblers long snapper Tucker Addington as the only specialists currently on Miami’s roster, giving both spring football veterans a legitimate chance to make the team.
