US National Team Assistant Coach Cody Hawkins to lead Copenhagen Skills Camp in March

The Growth of a Game will be hosting one of the premier American football camps in Europe from March 17th-19th, 2017 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The camp, known as “The Growth of a Game Copenhagen Skills Camp“, will be an annual camp with the intent to improve the skill level of players from around the region. Players and coaches from all across Europe will visit Copenhagen for the camp, and upwards of 120 players are expected to be in attendance.

In alignment with its primary mission, The Growth of a Game organizes a series of annual developmental camps across Europe in an effort to facilitate the development of American football.

The Growth of a Game Copenhagen Skills Camp will be led by several of the top coaches in Europe, including Cody Hawkins, quarterbacks coach for the US National Team; Ryan Andersen, head coach for Copenhagen Tomahawks in Denmark; Dennis Svensson, head coach for the Amager Demons in Denmark; Victor Andersen, defensive coordinator for the Copenhagen Towers and linebackers coach for the Danish National Team; Esben Mortensen, offensive line coach for the Danish National Team; Peter Nicolajsen, quality control coach for the Copenhagen Towers in Denmark; and Henry Miller, head coach for the Copenhagen Tomahawks U19 team.

The camp will focus on skill development for all players 15 and over. Players of all positions are welcome. In addition to player development, the coaching staff will also be providing instruction to beginner and intermediate coaches in the form of on-field work, film study, and a private coaching clinic. Players and coaches from as many as 10 countries will be present.

Player fees for the 2-day camp are €99, while coaches fees are €79.

Camp t-shirts will be included in the sign-up cost for players and will be provided during registration. Players will wear t-shirts, shorts, and football cleats – no shoulder pads or helmets.
