WR Todd Harrelson Signs With Germany’s Saarland Hurricanes

The top receiver of the 2015 GFL2 Champions Frankfurt Galaxy/Universe has signed with GFL1 club Saarland Hurricanes for the 2016 campaign.

Todd Harrelson (WR) reinforces the Hurricanes roster with offense firepower it will surely need to attempt to compete in the powerful GFL South conference, particular against the likes powerhouses Dresden Monarchs and Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns. Harrelson, who played for the NCAA FBS D-1 school the University of North Carolina from 2008 to 2011, is an all-around athlete and can also be used as kick returner and at corner-back. 9703_1

Last year, Harrelson lead the the Frankfurt Galaxy/Universe with 11 touchdown receptions, and only Frankfurt’s kicker scored more points. Harrelson is 6’1″ (1.85 m) and a large part of the top offense in the GFL2, the second division championship, and the promotion of Frankfurt to Germany‘s top American football league.

Harrelson comes to Saarbrücken highly motivated and will surely help the Hurricanes in 2016 as they aim to return to the play-offs and become a mainstay in the upper part of the German Football League South table.
