ELF: Wroclaw Panthers Sign QB Mak Sexton

The Wroclaw Panthers have signed Indiana University of Pennsylvania (NCAA DII) quarterback Mak Sexton.

Sexton will replace Matthew Vitale’s who sustained an injury against the Sea Devils in week six

Following a successful high school football career in his hometown of Texas, the 6’1″, 209 pound QB began his collegiate career with Pittsburg State (NCAA DII) where he spent three seasons. His final season for the Gorillas in 2020 saw him start all four games, passing for 1,009 yards and eight touchdowns before his season was cut short due to COVID-19.

Post-pandemic, Sexton took his talents to Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he was a starter, completing 209 of 330 (.633) for 2,907 yards and 33 TDs. During his lone season at IUP, he was a two-time PSAC West Offensive Player of the Week, as well as ranking second in PSAC for passing touchdowns and ranking as one the top three single-season touchdown passers in program history.

Over his collegiate career, Sexton racked up 7,792 passing yards and 70 TDs, with a completion rate of 60%.

He spoke on his excitement to the Wroclaw Panthers, stating:

“I’m very excited to join the Panthers and continue building upon the strong season we have going, Wroclaw is an amazing city and has a history of winning national championships. I’m looking forward to being a part of a great organization and working to make the Panthers one of the top teams in Europe.”

Sexton will be facing a baptism of fire as the Panthers will travel to face the Vienna Vikings in what will be the quarterback’s first professional appearance.

A current student at Bournemouth University as well as a quarterback with eight years of playing experience. Brad's goal is to be a part of the growth of the game around the world through journalism and media.
