Znojmo Knights dominate Pilsen Patriots 51-14 in their Snapbacks League season opener
In a commanding performance, the Znojmo Knights (1-0) overwhelmed the Pilsen Patriots (0-2) with a decisive 51-14 victory in their Czech Snapbacks League season opener. After a bye in the first week, the Knights made a strong statement in front of an enthusiastic home crowd, showcasing their offensive firepower.
Knights come out swinging
The Knights wasted no time establishing their dominance, jumping out to a quick 28-0 lead. Quarterback Volodymyr Hrynkiv connected with receiver Zachary DeNike, who continued his impressive form from last season by scoring three touchdowns before halftime. New offensive coordinator Shezzon Mumphrey orchestrated a whirlwind of plays that left the Patriots struggling to keep up.
Pilsen tries to respond, but Knights hold firm
Although the Patriots managed to get on the board with a touchdown from Josef Drmla late in the first half, the Knights maintained control throughout the game. Hrynkiv continued to shine, finishing the game with an incredible six touchdown passes, including a final connection with new addition Igor Mašlanka in the closing minutes. The Patriots added a late touchdown from Matěj Šlehofer, but it was merely a cosmetic adjustment to the score. The Knights celebrated a resounding 51-14 victory, setting a strong tone for the rest of the season.
