AFI.tv features 4 games from Spain this weekend

The Spanish League of American Football heads into the second last full weekend of play with all eight teams in action and all four games showing on AFI.tv.

With two rounds left before the playoffs, the races at the top of both the East and West Conferences are tight. The undefeated Las Rozas Black Demons (6-0) top the East Conference with Osos Rivas right behind in second with only one loss on their record, that being to the Black Demons. Meanwhile in the West Conference, the Badalona Dracs at 5-1 are in first with the Mallorca Voltors trailing in second with a 4-1 record.

Saturday, March 27

The Murcia Cobras (0-6) pay a visit to the  Zaragoza Hurricanes (2-3) this Saturday, March 27 at 4 pm (16:00 CET).

The Hurricanes defeated Murcia 17-14 in the first meeting between the two teams earlier this season. Two weeks ago, the Cobras pushed the Badalona Dracs to the limit, finally falling 21-13 while Zaragoza has not played a game in a month after losing 41-13 to the Dracs. Their game against the Mallorca Voltors on March 14 was postponed due to the pandemic.

In the game of the week, the league-leading and unbeaten Las Rozas Black Demons will play host to crosstown rivals, Osos Rivas on March 27 at 5 pm (17:00 CET)

The Black Demons have looked impressive all season long and are coming off back-to-back 35-0 shutouts of the Gijon Mariners. The first time these two teams faced each other this year was a battle to the finish with Las Rozas outlasting Osos 35-28. Expect more of the same this weekend.

Sunday, March 28

The Gijon Mariners (0-6) head to Fuengirola to play the Fuengirola Potros (1-4) Sunday, March 28 at 12 noon (06:00 CET)

The Fuengirola Potros blanked Gijon 10-0 earlier this year for their only win of the season so far. Both teams are coming off of lopsided losses. The Potros were beaten 52-0 by Osos Rivas two weeks ago while the Mariners suffered back-to-back 35-0 losses to the Black Demons.

The Badalona Dracs (5-1) host the Mallorca Voltors (4-1) on Sunday, March 28 at 12 noon (06:00 CET)

The Badalona Dracs have faltered this season and for the first time in five years have looked vulnerable. They barely got by the winless Murcia Cobras 21-13 two weeks ago. Meanwhile, Mallorca beat the Cobras 36-0 but that game was a month ago and the Voltors have been idle ever since. In the first game between these two in December, Badalona beat the Voltors 37-14.
