ELF: All-Star fullback Patrick Poetsch re-signs with the Rhein Fire

The Rhein Fire go into the 2025 ELF season with their eyes squarely set on a third straight championship. One key piece to their success in the running game will be back as they chase this illustrious goal in bruising fullback Patrick Poetsch.

Poetsch is a 3X ELF all-star who battled some injuries last year but was still able to play in every game. Poetsch has been a mainstay on the Rhein Fire serving as the team’s fullback and long snapper. The 35-year-old has four career touchdowns, three of which came during the 2022 Rhein Fire season.
