Rangers, Silverhawks top the stats lists as regular season nears end in Austrian Football League

With one game left, Zach Cavanaugh of the Ljubljana Silverhawks has maintained his lead in the passing yardage category in the Austrian Football League but Swarco Raiders QB Sean Shelton is hot on his heels and has a game in hand.

With that, players from the Silverhawks lead two of the four main stats categories while players from the SonicWall Mödling Rangers lead the other two. With one game left in the season, the Rangers top the rushing and tackling categories while the Silverhawks top the passing and receiving categories.

The SonicWall Mödling Rangers have five players among the Top 5 in the four categories while the Traun Steelsharks have four. The Ljubljana Silverhawks and Swarco Raiders have three each while the Danube Dragons and Projekt Spielberg Graz Giants have two apiece. The Dacia Vienna Vikings now has only one.

Zach Cavanaughof the Ljubljana Silverhawks continues to lead all quarterbacks in the Austrian Football League with 2,674 yards and 27 TDs but Swarco Raiders QB Sean Shelton has climbed up into 2nd with his 2,306 yards and league-best 31 TDs after eight games. Danube Dragons QB Chad Jeffries  threw for 450 yards and 5 TDs in a big 61-28 win over the Traun Steelsharks giving him 2,303 and 17  TDs good for 3rd. Mödling Rangers QB Dylan Potts was bumped down to 4th after 9 games and now has 2,194 yards and 17 TDs. John Uribe of the Traun Steelsharks has 2,092 yards and is now 5th.

Receiving

Matic Tomse of the Ljubljana Silverhawks has moved back into the top spot in receiving yardage with 967 yards and a league-best 13 TD receptions. SonicWall Mödling Rangers  WR Roman Namdar has slid down into 2nd with 926.  Mario Winter from the Traun Steelsharks holds on to 3rd spot with 786 yards while Silverhawks WR Eugen Sumic remains in 4th with 722 yards. Philipp Haun of the Danube Dragons has jumped up into 5th after his 117 yards receiving yards in the Dragons 61-28 win over the Steelsharks, and he now has 640.

Rushing

Quarterback Dylan Potts of the Mödling Rangers holds on to top spot in the rushing yardage list in the Austrian Football League with 988 yards and a league-best 14 TDs. Matthias Kiegerl of the Projekt Spielberg Graz Giants is now 2nd  after a 154 yard and 2 TD effort in his team’s win over the Rangers. He now has 845 yards and 12 TDs. ,Traun Steelsharks RB, Felix Stadler is 3rd with 605 yards while Sandro Platzgummer of the Swarco Raiders is now 4th with 563 yards. Dacia Vienna Vikings RB Islaam Amadu is 5th, also with 563 yards.

Tackles

Mödling Rangers LB Barron Miller still leads all tacklers in the Austrian Football League and now has 65.5 tackles. Graz Giants LB Thomas Schnurrer continues to climb and is now 2nd with 51.5 tackles. Ljubljana Silverhawks LB Patrick Kenney has held on to 3rd with his 48.5 tackles while Fabian Seeber of the Swarco Raiders moves into 4th with 45 tackles following his 10 tackle performance last week against the Silverhawks. Rangers LB Markus Bernas has moved up into 5th with 43 tackles in nine games.
