Austrian Bernard Raimann named by Pro Football Focus as MAC Offensive Player of the Year

The accolades continue to pour in for Austria’s Bernard Raimann, starting offensive tackle for Central Michigan University.

The native of Steinbrunn, Austria and former receiver for the Vienna Vikings, has now been named the 2021 Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Year by Pro Football Focus (PFF).

Raimann, a 6-foot-7, 305-pound junior, earned a 94.3 PFF grade with a 93.3 run-block mark and an 88.7 pass-block grade.

Raimann came to Central Michigan after spending his high school days as a foreign exchange student at Delton-Kellogg High School, outside of Detroit, Michigan. He moved to tackle prior to the 2020 season and has developed into one of the very best at his position in the nation and is projected by many to be a first-round NFL draft pick.
