CFL Power Rankings: Where did the teams land heading down The Final Stretch?

TORONTO — There are just three weeks left in the regular season as the West Division’s playoff picture is still anything but clear.

Week 19 marks Mobil Thanksgiving Weekend as we get set for four games of CFL action, including a Thanksgiving Monday afternoon matinee.

But before we get to the games, where does every team land in this week’s AMSOIL Power Rankings?

Let’s find out.

1. MONTREAL ALOUETTES

LAST WEEK: 1 LAST GAME: 37-10 WIN OVER WINNIPEG NEXT GAME: VS. SASKATCHEWAN, OCTOBER 12

Worth noting: Montreal secured their spot at the top of the East Division last week, locking up first place, and they will host the Eastern Final on November 7. Tyson Philpot continued his dominance this season, breaking three records in his team’s win over the Bombers, and hauling in a season-high 207 yards. Montreal now hosts Saskatchewan for a 112th Grey Cup rematch in their final regular season home game looking to remain undefeated at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium.

2. BC LIONS

LAST WEEK: 2 LAST GAME: 24-17 WIN OVER TORONTO NEXT GAME: VS. OTTAWA, OCTOBER 9

Worth noting: BC has now won eight of their last nine games as they continue to be the hottest team in the CFL. They are coming off a win where their offence did not score any points, as kicker Sean Whyte accounted for all 24 points with eight-straight field goals. They’ll look to get Nathan Rourke and the offence going against the Ottawa REDBLACKS on Friday Night Football.

3. EDMONTON ELKS

LAST WEEK: 3 LAST GAME: 37-35 OT WIN OVER HAMILTON NEXT GAME: AT HAMILTON, OCTOBER 9

Worth noting: Edmonton returns from a Week 18 bye, refreshed and ready to play against the same team that they beat before heading into their week of rest. The Week 17 contest between the Elks and Ticats needed overtime to decide the winner, so the Elks will need to play at their best, especially on the road against a Hamilton team feeling confident after a win last week.

4. TORONTO ARGONAUTS

LAST WEEK: 4 LAST GAME: 24-17 LOSS TO BC NEXT GAME: AT OTTAWA, OCTOBER 16

Worth noting: A late-game goal-line stand in last week’s game against the BC Lions was the difference, as the Leos’ defence held Toronto out of the end zone on back-to-back short yardage plays to force the turnover on downs. The Argos now know they will be hosting the Eastern Semi-Final on October 31, as they head into a Mobil Thanksgiving Weekend bye, hoping their starting quarterback Chad Kelly will be healthy when they return in Week 20.

5. CALGARY STAMPEDERS

LAST WEEK: 7 LAST GAME: 37-31 WIN OVER SASKATCHEWAN NEXT GAME: AT WINNIPEG, OCTOBER 10

Worth noting: Vernon Adams Jr. led his Stampeders to victory over the Riders in Week 18, as the Calgary signal caller returned to his early-season form when many were calling him an early MOP candidate. He threw for four touchdowns and no interceptions in his team’s win, one that they needed to stay in the playoff race. Facing the Blue Bombers this week, who are just two points behind them in the standings for the final playoff spot, will be crucial and VA will hope to have a repeat performance on Saturday.

6. WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS

LAST WEEK: 5 LAST GAME: 37-10 LOSS TO MONTREAL NEXT GAME: VS. CALGARY, OCTOBER 10

Worth noting: Winnipeg has lost three of their last four and continue life without their starting quarterback, Zach Collaros. Putting last week’s loss to the Als in the rearview mirror is important for Mike O’Shea’s team as they face the Stampeders this week. Winnipeg is only two points behind Calgary for the final playoff spot in the West, making this game a must-win for the Blue and Gold.

7. SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS

LAST WEEK: 6 LAST GAME: 37-31 LOSS TO CALGARY NEXT GAME: AT MONTREAL, OCTOBER 12

Worth noting: The Saskatchewan Roughriders dropped their third-straight game in Week 18, falling to the Calgary Stampeders. Now the Riders are tied in points with the Stamps and are only two points ahead of the Blue Bombers as the logjam in the West Division continues. Every win will be imperative down The Final Stretch for Saskatchewan as they push for the playoffs and it starts with a tough matchup in Montreal, where the Als are undefeated at home this season.

8. HAMILTON TIGER-CATS

LAST WEEK: 8 LAST GAME: 34-16 WIN OVER OTTAWA NEXT GAME: VS. EDMONTON, OCTOBER 9

Worth noting: Hamilton hadn’t won a game since Week 11 and was able to get the job done in the nation’s capital against the REDBLACKS. Kenny Lawler had his best game of the season, hauling in over 100 yards for the first time in 2026 (132) and scoring two touchdowns. Now the Tiger-Cats host the West Division-leading Elks who they took to overtime just two weeks ago, as they look to string together back-to-back wins.

9. OTTAWA REDBLACKS

LAST WEEK: 9 LAST GAME: 34-16 LOSS TO HAMILTON NEXT GAME: AT BC, OCTOBER 9

Worth noting: The Ottawa REDBLACKS dropped their 15th game of the season, as Ryan Dinwiddie’s group is still winless in 2026. They now head to BC to take on the red-hot Lions in Week 19. It’s a tough draw, but what a statement a win in Vancouver could make for the REDBLACKS.
