ELF: Hamburg Sea Devils sign former 49ers, Wroclaw Panthers DB Lee Pitts

The Hamburg Sea Devils have filled their US import quota with the signing of defensive back Lee Pitts.

The 5’11”, 195 pound, 26 year old Pitts from Agoura Hills, California, appeared in two games with the Wroclaw Panthers in 2023 before getting hurt and had an immediate impact picking off three passes including a pick six.

Pitts had played his senior year for the University of Sioux Falls Cougars (NCAA Div. II) after transferring from Azusa Pacific. He had 32 tackles and an interception in 11 games with the Cougars. In 14 games at Azusa Pacific he recorded 37 tackles and two interceptions.

In 2022, he attended the San Francisco 49ers rookie minicamp.

Pitts has a unique pedigree as his father Ron Pitts played cornerback for the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers after starring at UCLA. His grandfather, Elijah Pitts played running back for 11 seasons in the NFL almost all with the Green Bay Packers, winning five NFL titles which included a pair of Super Bowls.
