In another overwhelming performance, the Firenze Guelfi (6-0) defeated the Lazio Marines (2-5) 42-7, marking their 18th consecutive victory and solidifying their status as the top team in the Italian Football League. The Guelfi showcased their offensive firepower and defensive prowess, leaving little doubt about their championship aspirations.

Early Surprises

The game started with an unexpected twist as the Marines took an early lead. After an interception by Matteo Fajeti, Lazio capitalized with a touchdown run from Francesco Cacciola, followed by an extra point from Jacopo Impallomeni, putting them ahead 7-6. Guelfi Strike Back

In the third quarter, Stola caught his second touchdown pass from Fimiani, extending the lead to 42-7 and triggering a running clock. The Guelfi managed the game effectively, rotating players and controlling the pace until the final whistle. With this victory, Firenze closed the regular season undefeated, firmly establishing themselves as the team to beat heading into the postseason.
