Five free college football games worth watching on Halloween Saturday

A Pennsylvania showdown between two nationally ranked NCAA Division II teams, a Texas junior college playoff rematch and a Dickinson roster featuring players from across Europe headline five American football games worth watching on Saturday, October 31. From a battle for first place in the PSAC East to a winner-take-all postseason matchup, this week’s selection offers plenty of competitive football beyond the familiar major-college programs. And for European fans looking to spend their Halloween Saturday watching American football, there’s another attraction: every game is available to stream free, with no subscription required.

Halloween supplies enough things to frighten us without another streaming bill. This week’s trip through small-college football offers a division lead to fight over, a playoff place in the final and several good reasons to give unfamiliar teams a screen. We can leave the billion-dollar football for Sunday.

All games are Saturday, October 31, 2026. Times are Amsterdam time, CET. Europe has changed its clocks; America does so on Sunday. For this Saturday only, add five hours to Eastern and six to Central.

Kutztown at East Stroudsburg

NCAA Division II | 18:05 CET | Kutztown 8–0; East Stroudsburg 7–1

Watch free on ESU’s Watch the Warriors page

This is the one I would put on first. No. 3 Kutztown and No. 24 East Stroudsburg are both 4–0 in the PSAC East. The winner takes control of the race to the conference championship game. These are the AFCA rankings, for those keeping track of the various polls.

Kutztown has won 39 consecutive regular-season games and comes off a 41–14 victory over West Chester. Quarterback Judd Novak accounted for five touchdowns. East Stroudsburg has won five straight, most recently 31–7 against Shepherd, and held the Rams to 29 rushing yards.

Why watch: A serious test for an unbeaten contender against a defense finding its form. Kutztown deserves to be favored, but ESU has earned this opportunity. Kickoff is 13:05 Eastern; select the Kutztown football broadcast on ESU’s free PSAC player.

Southwestern at McPherson

NAIA | 19:00 CET | Both teams 7–1

Watch free on Urban Edge Network

Southwestern rewarded last week’s selection by beating previously unbeaten Friends 40–21. Now comes another substantial test, against a McPherson team that lost 48–24 to Friends before bouncing back with a 63–7 win at Saint Mary. Applying common-opponent mathematics would make this easy. Football rarely cooperates.

McPherson running back Jalil Brown has 1,122 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. Southwestern allows just 91.6 rushing yards per game. The Bulldogs also have quarterback Ryan Markarian, with 2,058 passing yards and 18 touchdowns, so simply loading the box has its drawbacks.

Why watch: Two winning teams with contrasting evidence against Friends and a useful run-game test. The venue is Equity Bank Park in Wichita, not McPherson’s usual home ground. The linked UEN event is the broadcast supplied by Southwestern’s official game listing. Kickoff is 13:00 Central.

Tyler at Navarro

JUCO | 19:00 CET | Both teams 6–3

Watch free on the official Navarro Sports YouTube channel

Two weeks after Navarro won 43–30 at Tyler, they meet again with a place in the Southwest Junior College Football Conference final at stake. Navarro is the second seed, Tyler the third. That gives us rather more to work with than two unfamiliar names and a hopeful guess.

Tyler secured its place with a 31–14 victory over New Mexico Military Institute, rushing for 225 yards. Navarro returns home after losing 27–14 at Snow. The earlier meeting makes the Bulldogs favorites, but Tyler arrives with a win and an immediate chance to correct what went wrong.

Why watch: A playoff rematch between teams with identical overall records. Navarro’s official athletics website directs viewers to its free YouTube channel; open the Live tab and choose Tyler–Navarro. This is a channel link, not a separately verified event permalink. Kickoff in Corsicana is 13:00 Central.

Southern at Florida A&M

NCAA FCS | 20:00 CET | Southern 3–5; Florida A&M 2–6

Watch free on HBCU GO

The records will not sell this one on their own. The prospect of a competitive game might. Southern lost 24–21 to Texas Southern last Saturday; Florida A&M lost 31–28 to Arkansas–Pine Bluff. Both know exactly how annoying three points can be.

Southern’s ground game offers the clearest route into this matchup: 175 rushing yards per game against a FAMU defense allowing 224. For European viewers, this is also a window into the HBCU football tradition, where the occasion extends well beyond the team sheet.

Why watch: Two teams coming off narrow defeats, with a clear tactical question about FAMU’s run defense. Both schools list HBCU GO for the broadcast. Use the free live channel on the website or HBCU GO app; kickoff is 15:00 Eastern.

Dickinson at Carnegie Mellon

NCAA Division III | 20:30 CET | Both teams 5–2

Watch free on Carnegie Mellon’s Centennial Conference channel

Dickinson is back, and this is a much better test than last week’s 52–0 demolition of McDaniel. Carnegie Mellon has won four straight, including a 21–0 shutout of Johns Hopkins and last Saturday’s 34–7 victory over Muhlenberg. Dickinson also beat Hopkins, 35–21, but its 17–7 loss to Franklin & Marshall is a reminder that this division offers few guarantees.

For AFI readers, Dickinson’s roster provides plenty of familiar geography. Receiver Frederik Fjeldseth came through Norway’s Oslo Vikings. Swedish lineman Alexander Pellikka lists RIG Academy; German linemen Tomm Hopp and Nico Reitz are joined by Danish linebacker Valdemar Enghave. These are pathways our readers recognize.

Why watch: Matching records, meaningful conference stakes and an international roster worth following. Dickinson’s current schedule and live-events page list 15:30 Eastern, which takes precedence here over the conference calendar’s older 15:00 listing. Select Dickinson–Carnegie Mellon on the free Centennial Conference channel.

Where I’ll be watching

My first screen goes to Kutztown–East Stroudsburg, with Dickinson taking over later. Keep the Texas playoff handy. And if you happen to spot next season’s import quarterback, consider that a bonus.
