LIVESTREAM NCAA Div. III: Dickinson Red Devils @ Carnegie Mellon Tartans, Oct. 31, 20:30 CET (8:30 pm, 3:30 pm ET)

The Carnegie Mellon Tartans (5–2) will look to extend their four-game winning streak when they host the Dickinson College Red Devils (5–2) on Saturday, October 31, at Gesling Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in an important NCAA Division III Centennial Conference showdown between two teams looking to strengthen their postseason prospects.

Both teams enter the contest with identical records and plenty of momentum. Carnegie Mellon is coming off a convincing 34–7 victory over Muhlenberg, while Dickinson overwhelmed McDaniel 52–0 last weekend.

Tartans riding four-game winning streak

The Tartans have been particularly impressive defensively during their recent surge, highlighted by a 21–0 shutout of Johns Hopkins.

That victory demonstrated the ability of the Carnegie Mellon defense to contain one of the conference’s established programs.

The Tartans followed that performance with another convincing win over Muhlenberg, allowing just seven points while continuing to build momentum.

With home-field advantage and a defense that has produced two outstanding performances in recent weeks, Carnegie Mellon will be looking to control the tempo against a dangerous Dickinson offense.

Dickinson boasts explosive rushing attack

The Red Devils enter the matchup following their dominant victory over McDaniel, but they also have an impressive 35–21 win over Johns Hopkins on their résumé.

Running back Dane Sørensen has been the centerpiece of the offense, rushing for 939 yards and 13 touchdowns in seven games while averaging an outstanding 7.8 yards per carry.

Quarterback Ben Klassen has completed 108 of 169 passes for 1,118 yards and seven touchdowns, providing balance to the ground attack.

Kevin Schmidt leads the receiving corps with 21 receptions for 235 yards and two touchdowns, while Sørensen has contributed another 216 receiving yards and three scores.

European players making their mark

The Dickinson roster also features several players with European football backgrounds, adding particular interest for international fans.

Norwegian receiver Frederik Fjeldseth, a product of the Oslo Vikings, has caught 15 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns this season.

Swedish offensive lineman Alexander Pellikka, who developed at RIG Academy, is joined by German linemen Tomm Hopp and Nico Reitz and Danish linebacker Valdemar Enghave.

Their presence highlights the growing opportunities for European players in American college football.

Conference implications on the line

With both teams sitting at 5–2, Saturday’s matchup could have significant implications for the Centennial Conference standings.

The key battle will likely be Carnegie Mellon’s ability to contain Sørensen and a Dickinson rushing attack that has consistently produced explosive plays.

For the Red Devils, slowing the Tartans’ momentum and avoiding the mistakes that contributed to their 17–7 loss to Franklin & Marshall will be essential.

With two evenly matched teams and important conference positioning at stake, this promises to be one of the more intriguing Division III games of the weekend.
