Former Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant and Ex-Clemson QB Kelly Bryant join Fan-Controlled-Football

The Fan-Controlled-Football League continues to keep fans entertained announcing two new players joining the league for week three. Last year, the league brought in NFL wide receiver Josh Gordon mid-season and this year they are following a similar formula.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers and Oakland Raiders standout Martavis Bryant was announced as a new addition along with former Clemson and Missouri quarterback Kelly Bryant (no relation).

Martavis Bryant was selected in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft after a stellar career at Clemson University. In his first two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers he looked like a promising player putting up 76 catches for 1,314 yards and 14 scores. However, in 2016 he suspended for the entire season due to a violation of the NFL’s substance abuse.

After a bounce back season the next year, Bryant was suspended again in the middle of the 2018 season. The Oakland Raiders released the troubled pass catcher following his suspension.

Since his final suspension, Bryant has played arena ball and signed with the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts in 2021 and the Edmonton Elks this February. Despite two contracts ,Martavis Bryant has yet to take the field in Canada. Now the 6’4 30-year old will suit up for The Beasts of the FCF.

The other star addition to Fan-Controlled-Football is quarterback Kelly Bryant. The 6’4″, 225-pound passer is best known for his days at college days both Clemson and Missouri. Bryant was controversially benched for future number one NFL draft pick Trevor Lawrence at Clemson in 2018, after leading the Tigers to a 12-2 record the year prior. He then went on to play at the University of Missouri where he threw for 2,215 yards and 15 touchdowns in his final collegiate season.

Since his college days in 2019, Bryant has signed the CFL and played Arena Football. Similar to Martavis Bryant, Kelly Bryant recently signed in the Canadian Football League before joining the FCF. Bryant the quarterback, will join former Heisman trophy winner Johnny Manziel and NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens of the Zappers.

Hopefully, Kelly Bryant can feed Terrell Owens the ball as Manziel and other Zappers quarterbacks struggled to get TO the rock as much as fans might like. Manziel also looked to have suffered an injury last week as he was seen walking gingerly without pads at the end of last week’s loss.
