France: Three unbeaten teams put their records on the line in 3rd weekend of action

The French D1 Elite league enters its third weekend of action with four games on tap.

The Conference A leading La Courneuve Flash will take on the Saint-Ouen Cougars while the Rouen Leopards will take the two-hour trip to Paris to face the Asnieres Molosses. In Conference B, the Toulouse Ours will try for their first win of the year when they take the road to face the Grizzlys Catalans. Finally, the Aix Argonautes will play host to the Nice Dauphins who will also be seeking to win their first game this season.

March 2

La Courneuve Flash (2-0) @ Saint-Ouen Cougars (0-1)

Fresh off a 21-7ictory over arch rivals and defending French champions, the Thonon Black Panthers, the Flash drive across town in Paris to face the Cougars Cougars St Ouen l’Aumône who fell in their opening game to the Rouen Leopards 21-12. La Courneuve defeated the Cougars both times they faced each other in 2023.

Rouen Leopards (1-0) @ Asnieres Molosses (0-1)

The Asnieres Molosses lost a tough game to the La Courneuve Flash 21-14 to open the season and will be playing host to a Rouen squad coming off a 21-12 win over the Cougars two weeks ago. This is Rouen’s first season back in the top league since 2019.

March 3

Toulouse Ours (0-2) @ Grizzlys Catalans (1-0)

The Grizzlys play their first home game of the season when they face a Toulouse Ours team that has lost its first two games of the year. These two teams were as evenly matched as possible in 2023 tying one game 21-21 and playing the other as tight as can be as well with Catalans coming out on top 35-34.

Nice Dauphins (0-2) @ Aix Argonautes (1-1)

The Nice Dauphins will be looking for the first win of the season when they travel to Aix-en-Provence to face the Argonautes. In 2023, these two teams split the series with Nice beating the Argonautes 24-7 at home and Aix-en-Provence taking the other 34-32.
