Germany: Berlin Rebels sign UNLV QB Kurt Palendech

The Berlin Rebels have added University of Nevada at Las Vegas, UNLV (NCAA Div. I, FBS)  quarterback Kurt Palandech to the roster giving them a potent one-two punch.

Palandech will serve as backup to starting quarterback Terrell Robinson.

The 24 year old, 6’2″, 190 lb Palandech, a native of Plainfield, Illinois threw for 1,489 yards and 14 touchdowns with the Running Rebels. He spent the 2019 season playing for the Cedar Rapids River Kings of the Indoor Football League, IFL where he threw for 1,099 yards and 18 touchdowns in his eight games prior to arriving in Germany. He started his college career at Laney College in Oakland, California where he led the Eagles to a 6-5 record and an appearance in the Bulldog Bowl in 2014. He finished with 1,634 passing yards and 17 touchdowns while also rushing for 390 yards and five scores.

Berlin Rebels: Why did you decide to come to Berlin and play for the Rebels?

Palandech: “I chose to play for the Berlin Rebels because it is a great opportunity to continue to play this game and develop as a quarterback. In addition, I thought there was no better way to travel to Germany/Europe than visiting while playing the game of football!”
