Germany: Potsdam Royals sign dual-threat QB PJ Settles

The Potsdam Royals, of German Football League North, have signed formed Rhodes College (DIII) stand-out PJ Settles.

The dual-threat QB came out of his hometown high school in Nashville, Tennessee where he was a three-time football state champion, All-State Football senior year, three-time basketball state champion and earned track First Team All-State honors.

Settles played in only his junior and senior year at Rhodes but racked up impressive numbers with 6,746 all-purpose yards, 23 rushing touchdowns and 32 passing touchdowns, earning himself Second Team All-SAA honors. His average of 378 yards per game ranked second in all NCAA DIII football.

This is Settles first year in Europe and will be up against some tough competition with Dresden Monarchs and New Yorker Lions in the same division.
